Master storyteller...

Ole has figured out that he can lie.

I don't think he even knew it was a possibility before. Then ... suddenly it occurred to him that he has the ability to NOT tell the truth.

When I picked him up from chess class today, a little girl came up to me and said Ole told her there had been a fire at his house. She wondered if it was true. I told her no ... he was telling stories. Then she went on to rattle off a list of things he's told her. I'm not even sure I can remember all the lies he told her, but I'll try.

That rug burn on his forehead ... he told her he was injured in the fire.
His cat died.
We live in San Francisco and he takes BART to school.
His mom is in the hospital (that's me!).

Jeez ... that's not even the half of it, but I can't remember any more right now.

What have I done wrong???

I see Ole can tell a lie, too. I remember that most children tell lies to be more interesting, I do not think his parents need to be liers, but most of them have been earlier when they were kids.
